The melting point, between the solid state and the boiling point, is a state of matter towards which we strive. It is there that objects, bodies, thoughts and territories lose their clear outlines and borders, and start to slowly slide towards each other, to melt over and mix, to relax and merge together. There is no me, there is no you – here and now we are living together in an artificial symbiosis which will in time become natural. Our voices will intertwine, images will overlap, and we will breathe the same air, which is slightly heavy and acrid from the sparking short fuses. This is the only place we have – imperfect and worn out. This is the only time we have – red-hot and contagious. If we merge into one, what kind of new alloy will come from it?
